Current warning: Faked invoice
Falsified invoice that could very well correspond to the content and service of an expected invoice.
How the fraud take place:
False invoices for fantasy services that could very well correspond to the content and service of an expected invoice. The person in charge in the company is located via previous social media research. The bill can come by email or post. Real vendors’ stationery in the correct corporate design is used. The staff is sometimes immediately written to with a reminder, followed by a call to put the staff under pressure. On inquiry also a fake contract is presented as the basis of the invoice with public signatures of management (eg from balance sheets).
How you can protect yourself in this case:
In case you receive a suspicious invoice, please contact immediately known contacts in the vendors company via telephone.
What can you do if you are affected:
Get in contact with your branch for an immediate transfer recall at the beneficiaries bank. Once credited amounts are usually very difficult to return. Report the case to local legal authority (police).
